Air Quality Meteorologist

Summary:
Under general supervision perform installation, maintenance and repair of ambient air monitoring equipment. Work includes performing quality assurance checks on data and reporting data to clients. Travel throughout the United States is required, as well as possible international travel. All tasks will need to be performed safely and proficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Calibrate meteorological systems, gaseous analyzers, particulate monitors
  • Audit meteorological systems, gaseous analyzers, particulate monitors
  • Maintain, operate, and install gaseous systems/sites, meteorological systems, particulate monitors
  • Perform Quality Assurance and Quality Control checks on data generated by meteorological monitoring systems
Requirements:
  • Bachelorís degree in Meteorology or related field
  • Work outdoors in inclement weather and lift 70 pounds
  • Possess good oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Operate MS Office programs
  • Stand, crouch, sit for extended periods, work at heights, climb instrument towers, and walk on uneven ground

Laboratory Technician

Description:
Learn and perform analytical tests in the areas of analytical chemistry, radio chemistry, soil science, microbiology, and kinetic testing. Work closely with customers and supervisors to deliver service to industrial, government, and private entities that meet or exceed expectations. Duties include:

  • Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation
  • Perform test methods (EPA, ASTM, NIOSH, NRC, etc.)
  • Perform quality control procedures
  • Process and report analytical data

Requirements:
Candidate shall be a graduate of a two year accredited college studying scientific discipline or related work experience. Successful candidates will have attention to detail, will be committed to customer service, and are interested in performing at the highest productivity levels.
